Others may follow, but Nikki paves the way, letting us into his life when he was at the lowest point he ever reached. How much lower can you fall than dying? Thank God and the Ambulance attendants, they were able to revive him. I don't know about anyone else, but my heart would have broken if he was no longer in the world. I've been a Motley Crue fan for something like 24 years. I always read the albums liner notes, I knew that Nikki was the heart and soul of that band,as he was the principal writer of both lyrics and music. When "The Dirt" came out, I read it as soon as I could get my greedy little hands on it. I've read it twice. It always makes me want to just hold Nikki and say, cry it out, baby. I want to help the little boy who didn't understand why his parents abandoned him, he was such a lovely young child. Reading "The Heroin Diaries" and listening to the soundtrack made me cry. Sometimes for Nikki, sometimes for me. This is a MUST HAVE album for anyone who has been a Crue fan, a Sixx fan, who has struggled with addiction, who wants to be a musician. It's a book for everyone to read, a cautionary tale of what can happen to a beautiful young man who has too much money, too much free time, and too many girls throwing it at him. You need the album, the songs will tell you a story. There's a beginning, a middle and an end. Just like the book. I can't talk about one without the other. I feel so lucky that Nikki came to San Diego and signed some stuff for me, and I was able to have my pic taken with him. I love the dude. I hope he will come to San Diego with Sixx:A.M. and play for us. PLEASE!! Just buy the album people, it is so worth the money. |

I'd like to give credit where it is deserved and say that I love the haunting sound in the music, alot of which I believe comes from DJ Ashba. James Michael's voice goes perfectly with the sound of the music and no one could have done it better. And of course, the story that is the music that comes from Nikki's heart and really leaves you thinking about it all after you listen to it. You guys are all awesome. I hope you get the credit you deserve since it seems like sometimes rock music gets left behind and the pop and rap take over. Good luck guys. Lisa |

| 10/26/2007 | | | in awe (peacelizard) | Never was a fan of Motley Crue, however, I did watch one of them eat a menu one night at McCormick's restraunt in Seattle, Washington!
I am very impressed with Mr. Sixx, his memoirs and his journey to hell and back, as i have been there myself. It's not a trip that many of us recover from. I only wish Layne Stayley (AIC) could have been a survivor as well.
Mr. Sixx and I got lucky. Mr. Sixx is talented enough to let us in and feel his pain and angst without the side effects. Thank you for that. I stand proud. Can't wait to read the book.

I wondered how it would affect him, bringing his demons out into the light of day, so to speak. I knew that Nikki had had major drug problems in the past but thought he'd kicked it beack in 1986/1987 and was once again one of my heroes. To be perfectly honest, he never stopped beiing a hero of mine. And now, after finding the diaries from those pertinent years 86/87 he was able to write lyrics about his pain, put together a side project, Sixx A.M., and record an awesome album. Every time I think, ahh, that's my favorite song, another one comes along and becomes my momentary favorite. To tell the truth, I love them all. I love this album and I'm especially glad that I got it pre-ordered. And anyone who dares to call him a "sell-out"-you are a fool. |

I anxiously awaited its arrival for days (as it took 8 days to get to me…way to go Priority Mail) but it was worth every minute I waited!! The lyrics to this album are bound to move EVERYONE!! I can relate to every song on this disk but I have to say that “Tomorrow” is the BOMB!! Many thanks to Swagrox for getting all of us the goods! Now we just need to be able to get the book autographed as well! |

| 8/20/2007 | | | very touching and HIGHLY recommended (jenu12000) | the heroin diaries soundtrack by sixx a.m. will touch you no matter who you are or what type of music you like. if you are dealing with, have dealt with or a person you care about/love is dealing with addiction of any kind, you owe it to yourself to hear this. this soundtrack opens your eyes to the many feelings and circumstances around addiction.
i especially recommend GIRL WITH GOLDEN EYES and PERMISSION :O)
i have NOT been moved like this in so long with ANY band for ANY reason.
please get this soundtrack. it will move you....
the snippets do not do this cd justice.
i want to get a hold of the book to round out this experience.
